Film Favorites from S+A’s Glen Oaks Wedding

FILED IN: Weddings

I have such a love/hate relationship with shooting film… I keep saying I’m going to shoot more of it, then I get in the thick of it and say I’m going to sell my Contax 645 and go back to an all digital wedding approach. It’s sooooo stinking expensive, so quirky (missed shots due to slow autofocus systems or just plan needing to focus manually, people blinking or not realizing you’re shooting ACTUAL FILM and messing around while you’re shooting, I could go on and on… BUT, the one big (and I mean HUGE) benefit to film is how amazingly beautiful it is. The colors can be gorgeous and are hard (if not impossible to the trained eye) to mimic, there is a serene quality that shooting weddings with film offers that can’t be duplicated either. So… I keep plugging away at it. Back and forth, love and hate. Like that one passionate relationship we’ve all had in our lives that was or is just sooooo tough to let go of. Maybe I never will.

All of that being said, here are some favorites from Samantha and Anton‘s wedding last summer that were all shot on film.

Oh… and just because I can… here’s another peek at their wedding day highlight film!
